openDemocracy USA Inc. supports global communication and the free exchange of ideas for the promotion of democracy and human rights throughout the world. It's a newly launched 501(c)3 non-profit organization entirely independent of partisan politics.

openDemocracy USA strengthens global democratic processes and understanding between people by providing support to programs or organizations that make educational, political dialogue freely accessible to the global community.

Funds are raised through foundation grant solicitations and from the general public. openDemocracy USA has no members, and is managed by its Board of Directors, who are charged with both raising and distributing funds to appropriate programs and organizations.

One such organization, is openDemocracy.net, an independent website operated by a not-profit organization in the United Kingdom. The website has "free thinking for the world" as its motto, and serves as a global forum for debate and analysis of the most pressing political issues today.
